About the studio

Are your paintings really hand-painted?

Yes. Every canvas is painted by hand in acrylic with brushes and palette knives. The texture you see is raised paint, modeling paste or plaster built up on the canvas, not a print with a gel coat.

Where is the studio?

In Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, southern China. Our address is Room 218, Building 3, Huake International, Yangdong District, Yangjiang, Guangdong 529900, China. Volume orders leave through the port of Shenzhen.

Is Raw Linen Studio the linen clothing brand?

No. Raw Linen Studio (Hand-Painted Art) is a painting studio in China. We are not connected with the linen clothing maker that uses a similar name.

Who do you work with?

Interior designers, art consultants and framers ordering custom pieces for projects, and home decor brands, importers and wholesalers ordering production runs of their own designs.

Custom orders

Can you paint to an exact size and color?

Yes. We paint to the inch or centimetre, including tall and very wide formats, and we match Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore paint codes or fabric swatches you send.

Can you paint from our design file or reference image?

Yes, from your own design, a sketch, or an image you have rights to use. If the reference is another artist's painting, we propose an original piece in the same mood and palette instead of copying it.

Do I see the painting before it ships?

Yes. For commissions we send a room preview before you pay the deposit, progress photos mid-painting, and final photos and a close-up video before you pay the balance.

Is there a minimum order?

Custom commissions start at one piece. Production runs for brands have a modest minimum per design, set on the quote by size and technique.

Samples, lead time and payment

Do you make samples?

For brands and importers, yes: send one current design and we paint a sample at our cost so you can compare quality and turnaround.

How long does it take?

A sample takes about one week to paint, plus courier time. Production time depends on quantity, size and texture, and we confirm a ready-to-ship date with each quote.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer (T/T) in US dollars: 30% deposit to start, 70% balance after you approve the finished work and before it ships.

Shipping and import

How do the paintings ship?

Three formats. Rolled canvas ships in rigid tubes and has the lowest freight cost. Stretched paintings ship boxed and are required for high-relief texture. Framed pieces ship boxed and are the bulkiest.

Why does a stretched painting cost so much more to ship?

Express couriers bill the larger of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000). A boxed stretched canvas is light but bulky, so its volume sets the price. Our shipping guide has worked examples.

Do you ship FOB?

Yes. Volume orders are quoted FOB Shenzhen and delivered to your forwarder. Small orders ship by express courier to your door.

Are hand-painted paintings duty-free into the US?

Duty treatment depends on current US tariff rules, which have changed several times recently. Please confirm with your customs broker. We describe the goods as hand-painted original acrylic paintings on canvas and supply photos for classification.
